Moai Mayhem

Moai Mayhem is an educationally-focused single player game that aims to teach the players about the Rapa Nui people and their world-famous Moai statues through a light-hearted but thoughtful and deliberate hide-and-seek style game. Designed for first through third-graders, the levels and mechanics of the game teach the players about the island and its culture as part of a lesson plan intended to be used in a teacher-led classroom activity.

I led the development process as the concept owner, working in tandem with a level designer and our artists to maintain scope, pipelines and implementation over a five week-long sprints. I also designed and wrote all educational content in the game, as well as an external lesson plan and classroom worksheet to tie into the learning goals of the game.
